Lost your key? Pre-cut Keys

When you have the opportunity, it is a good idea to record the code number of your tubular lock. This number is general imprinted on the key – see photo below. With this code, it may be possible to buy only one key in the event your key is lost or damaged.

In the event you do not know this code number or the lock is damaged, we offer a tool that will allow the shoulder of a non-hardened standard lock to be drilled away. This will make it easy to open the lock. Once the shoulder is drilled away, the spring loaded pins will be released and then the lock can usually be opened. After it is open, the lock can be removed and a replacement lock installed. The entire process typically takes less than 5 minutes. If used properly, the tool will typically allow 3 locks to be drilled. The locks cannot be hardened or have dead pins. Prior to ordering, confirm the face of your tubular lock matches the photo. There are thousands of codes so it is not possible to buy a master key. Another good option is to hire a local locksmith.
