Installing a card reader in an American Changer with a universal board (2-line LCD display) is easy with a credit/debit card reader interface board. The interface board connects to header J11 on the universal board which is utilized when the changer accepts coins. If you have an optional coin acceptor in use, this kit will not connect to your changer. This 6-position connector is located at the upper left-hand side of the board. The kit works with the standard software on universal boards. The installation instructions include information on programming your credit/debit card reader’s pulse interface attributes. They need to be customized based upon your desired payout.  If the installer is not familiar with programming the attributes, we offer this service.

The kits will connect to either a Nayax Touch or a Cantaloupe G11 using pulse interface. Cash sales are not recorded with this kit. Only sales by the card reader.

The screen on the Nayax Touch makes it easier for the customer to select four different payout options. It is the recommended credit/debit card reader unless you are already a customer of Cantaloupe. Cantaloupe allows for different payout options but it is more difficult for the customer to navigate. Information on the readers is at this link.
